Sherwin Has Good Win
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The unseeded Australian, J. Alexander, entered the quarterfinals of the under 17 boys' singles at the Auckland lawn tennis championships, played at Auckland yesterday. His mature stroke production had on Saturday marked him the outstanding prospect of the tournament, and the under 16 Australian Junior champion maintained this promise with another hard-hitting display yesterday. Alexander eliminated the eighth seed. K. Wright, 6-1, 6-4. L. Sherwin, the Canterbury Junior, defeated the well-per-formed Aucklander. B. Barry. 6-5. 6-4.
