SAIGON, November 26.
A big allied force supported by 852 bombers drove into the Vo Dat Valley north-east of Saigon today, the Associated Press reported.
The force of several thousand men sought to cut off a vital rice harvest from the Viet Cong.
At stake is some 3400 tons of rice, enough to feed several Viet Cong divisions for a year, United States military spokesmen said.
