SEWERAGE PROGRESS
Since the Christchurch Drainage Board’s treatment works were put into operation three years and a half ago, about 10,500 premises had been connected to the sewerage system, the board’s works committee reported last evening. Since March, 1952, a total of 30,279 premises had been connected—an increase of 80.8 per cent on the number connected in 1952.
The board now had 67,750 buildings connected to its sewers.
