House Brings £3850
Offered on account of the estate of H. Kendall, a weatherboard bungalow at 31 Euston street, Riccarton, was sold for £3850 at public auction yesterday. The auctioneer was Mr Colin McCauley. The house has a lounge, dining-room, three bedrooms, kitchen, pantry, bathroom, and laundry. Outbuildings on the section of 36 perches include a garage, woodsheds, and a glasshouse.
The Government valuation is £3375, and the rates are £2B 16s 7d. A five-roomed house on a section of 20 perches at 20 Swanns road, Avonside, was passed in at £2400. The property was offered on account of Mr C. L. Griffiths by Mr Denys Chapman.
