TELEVISION IN CAR

Driver Fined £5 (N.Z. Press Association) HASTINGS, Nov. 3. A motorist who had a television set in his car which distracted other drivers, was fined £5 by Mr W. K. L. Dougaill, S.M., today. Traffic officer H. Croft said a person could be prosecuted for having a television set operating in a car where it could be seen by the driver: for operating a television set in a car where it could be seen by any other driver; and for having it so placed in a car that the driver could control the set, other than the sound volume and the main switch, from has seat.
