SEXTUPLETS IN SWEDEN
Death On Day Of Birth (.V.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) UPPSALA (Sweden), Oct. 10. A Swedish woman who had been given a fertility hormone gave birth to sextuplets last Monday but all six infants died on the same day. The case was reported by Professor Carl Gemzell, developer of the hormone treat i ment. He said doctors had de livered two boys and four girls. The mother was not identified. Mrs Sheila Sklar, aged 25, of Hartsdale, New York, last week gave birth to quadruplets after taking a fertility drug. The three boys and a girl are doing “exceeding well.” Only the girl remains in an incubator.
