It was New Zealand’s hardest match of the tour so far. the two Malayan students, David and Andrew Oug, winning their singles and doubles. However, Mrs H. Robson and Mrs V. Gow levelled the score for New Zealand, and Mrs Robson partnered D. Higgins in the winning mixed doubles. The No. 2 touring party beat Mid-Gippsland, 6-2, at Drouin. Results: v. Victoria.—K. Long lost to D. Ong, 4-15, 15-12, 9-15; D. Higgins lost to A. Ong, 5-15, 15-1, 9-15: Mrs H. Robson beat Miss J. Richards, 11-4, 11-7: Mrs V. Gow beat Miss H. Dorran, 9-11, 11-0. 11-1: D. Higgins and Long tost to Ong and Ong, 11-17, 12-15; Robson and Gow beat Dorran and Richards, 15-2, 15-8: Higgins and Robson beat A. Ong and Richards. 15-5, 15-5. v.
