“Rise Relow Expectations” (N.Z-. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 4. The new rates of pay and conditions of service for the Navy, Army and Air Force will probably be announced in August, but it was hinted today that the increases might not be as high ar. many servicemen were expecting. However, conditions of service would probably provide bigger incentive for recruits, and career servicemen alike. The Minister of Defence (Mr Eyre) said today that although he had not yet received the report on the reviewed pay and conditions, he understood it had been completed.
