First To Be Sent Off
B. Crisp, the University B left-wing, became the first player ordered from the field in a Christchurch senior Rugby match this season, on Saturday.
After a series of misdemeanors, which included a late tackle of the New Brighton fqll-back, R. Bowick, an early charge of G. Stanley, the half-bdck, and a trip of Bowick when that player was attempting to evade him, Mr L. S. Hunt, the referee, ordered Crisp from the field late In the second half.
Hew Brighton was leading, 9-6, at this Juncture and eventually won, 12-11.
