Socialist Front Members
(N.Z P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) KUALA LUMPUR June 20. Two more officials of Malaysia's Socialist Front have been detained in Ipoh. North Malaya by the police. They were the treasurer of the Perak branch of the organisation and a committee member of the same branch. Both are aged 27. It was not immediately known why the two men were detained, but under the Internal Security Act. the police have the power of imprisonment without trial. Earlier last week Dr. M .K Raikumar. a senior official of the Socialist Front, was arrested by the police under this Act because he was alleged to be a “threat to the security of the country.”
