Every effort was made to make school certificate results as consistent as possible, the Minister of Education (Mr Kinsella) told Parliament today Mr Kinsella had been asked by Mr R. J. Tizard (Opp., Pakuranga) if he was still prepared to accept the results of a school certificate examination dependent on marking methods which "are so varied that nearly half of those who applied for recounts after the! 1964 examination results were announced did have: their marks increased, and nearly 10 per cent of those applying actually passed -the examination as a result of their anplication?"
