BACK AT RUAKURA
Research Man On Lower Pay (N Z. Press Association) HAMILTON. June 4. After four years in Australia. an agricultural research worker, Mr G. C. Everitt, has rejoined the staff of the Ruakura Agricultural Research' Centre at a lower salary than: he could obtain across the Tasman. Mr Everitt is the second: scientist to rejoin the Rua-: kura staff after a period in. Australia. The first was Dr. W. G. Whittlestone who re- : turned last year after about five years in Australia. Research work in sheep: nutrition at the Waite Institute of the University of Ade-! '.aide occupied Mr Everitt’s time in Australia. He has returned to Ruakura to study the production of beef from dairy herds. This will include! research work on white veal! production. Mr Everitt first came to Ruakura from England where he studied under Sir John Hammond, a world authority on meat production.
