Parents’ Plans
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) JACKSON (Michigan), June 3. The parents of the space pilot Major James McDivitt, planned to attend early Mass today to pray for their son’s safe journey. Mr and Mrs James McDivitt senr., prepared with three television sets, will watch their son lift off for his 62orbit mission with Major Edward White. Meanwhile, in St. Petersburg, Florida, the parents of Major White are taking a calm, good humoured view of their son’s venture into space “We don’t worry in our family,” Major General Edward White told reporters “We have great faith that things will turn out all right.”
