GOVERNOR FROM N.Z.
Aust. Paper’s Suggestion (N.Z. Press Assn —Copyright) SYDNEY, June 3. The Sydney evening newspaper, the “Sun,” suggested in an editorial today that a New Zealander be appointed Governor-General of Australia. “A New Zealander would be welcome and such an appointment could be politically important,” it said. “Australians are liked by New Zealanders, but our mercantile and financial moves and policies are often regarded with deep suspicion. We are not alone in fearing a national take-over by a greater power."
