Swindler Wins At Randwick (N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) SYDNEY The New Zealand horse. Swindler, which skipped two classes to win the Welter Handicap (one mile) at Randwick on Saturday, may have his next start in the £4OOO Sandown Park Stakes in Melbourne next month. Swindler, backed to start favourite at 10/9 on. convincingly defeated Nullabor King (5/1) by a length and three-quarters. The Wit (80/1) was half a neck away , third. The Sandown Park Stakes will be run at the opening meeting at the new Sandown Park track in Melbourne on June 19. A Melbourne businessman, Mr H. A. Hall, and his wife race Swindler. Mr Hall said he would rather see Swindler run in the race at Sandown than anywhere else. Swindler was a novice horse until two starts ago. On May 8 at Randwick he scored a runaway win in a seven furlongs novice. This left him eligible for an encourage handicap, which meant he could have won an encourage and a -trial before going into open company. In Saturday’s open company welter the four-year-old Swindler had weight-for-age 9-0, a stone above the mini- ' mum.
