PLANES FOR N.A.C.
Evaluation By Captains

AUCKLAND. May 28.
Captain H. C. Walker, project development manager for N.A.C., and Captain A. C. Kenning, flight operations manager, left Auckland today for America. England and Europe for a five-week tour to make a final evaluation of jet aircraft to replace the N.A.C. Viscounts.
Their report will be before the August meeting of the N.A.C. board of directors. The American alternatives are the Douglas DC9 and the Boeing 737. In England, they will see the Bacll and on the Continent the French Caravel le as well as the Fokker F2B.
The proposals are for an initial order of three for delivery by Christmas, 1968, and three more the next year.
