Radio Service Disrupted

WELLINGTON, May 27.
The Wellington police, fire and ambulance communications radio service was disrupted for four hours today after a contractor cut the radio cable at Wrights Hill. Essential messages were transmitted on a stand-by emergency service. The severed cable also caused breakdowns in taxi and Post Office communications.
