CHURCHILL FUND
A contribution of £526 from the Waimairi County Council to the Churchill Memorial Fund brought the total for the Christchurch district to £10,403 15s 7d yesterday.
Collections from shops amounted to £73 Us 7d and donations in the appeal box in Cathedral square to £l9 Is 6d. Collections made by the Waimairi County Council amounted to £24 2s; Paparua, £l5 10s; and Heathcote, £l6’ Amounts of £5O and more received yesterday were rom Calder Mackay Company, Ltd. (£5O) and FarrierWaimak., Ltd. (£52 10s)
