Empty Slogan, Says Sukarno
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) DJAKARATA, Dec. 29. Peaceful co-exis-tence is only an empty slogan of the Imperialists and neoColonialists designed to deceive newly independent countries, according to President Sukarno. He told the opening ceremony of a national conference on transmigration in Djakarta last night that Indonesia could not co-exist with Imperialists. How could Indonesia live in peaceful co-existence with Malaysia when that country was created by the Imperialists like a pistol aimed at Indonesia, the President said. He added it was simple for the King of Nepal to talk of peaceful settlement on the Malaysia issue. But why did the King of Nepal let Ghurkas fight North Kalimanoan freedom fighters and Indonesian volunteers, he asked. (The King of Nepal was quoted as saying last Sunday that he hoped Indonesia and Malaysia could settle their problem peacefully.)
