Rifle Shooting Thom Leading In Championship

C. Thom (Sydenham) is leading in the Canterbury Rifle Association’s annual championship. He scored 145 for three ranges, and was the only competitor to score a 50 possible during the day. J. Waller (Christchurch) leads the B grade aggregate with 141, and A. Ramsay (Sydenham) leads the C grade with 138. The Sydenham No. 1 team won the champion teams’ match for first-day aggregates.
