Fish-Filled Sausages
Fish-filled sausages could appear on the New Zealand market. An article in “Commercial Fishing,” says that with the growing interest in seafoods in New Zealand and the constant search of the housewife for something different for her table, a seafood sausage could become a welcome new food. Fish sausages have been a popular food item in Japan for many years. The existence of such a line of seafood could open the way for a more profitable use of fishmeat that is at present discarded or used in other avenues of industry. Shark, dogfish, kahawai and a variety of other fish could be used in conjunction to give 1
distinctive flavours in differi ent types of sausages. “Properly blended, there is ■ every reason to expect that i some really delicious foods could be offered. 1 “Given a suitable name : there is no reason why they . could not become a feature . of every housewife’s menu."
