(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEWCASTLE (N.S.W.), Dec. 28. The Newcastle Surf LifeSaving Association beat the visiting New Zealand surf team narrowly at Newcastle today by 30 points to 24. The contest was exciting, although the surf was flattened by strong inshore winds. New Zealand victories included the senior belt race, won by R. Harker, the rescue and resuscitation team event, the beach relay, and the junior belt race.
