ROAD WORKS AT WAIPARA
Drivers Urged To Take Care The Ministry of Works has warned holiday motorists that a mile and a half of the Main North road over the Omiihi Saddle, near Waipara, is under reconstruction, and should be traversed with care. The temporary speed limit of 30 miles an hour should be adhered to if danger from flying stones was to be avoided, said the resident engineer (Mr W. A. Scott). Control of the stretch had been discussed with the contractor and every effort would be made to keep it in reasonable order, but the co-opera-tion of the public was requested.
