FIREMEN’S DISPUTE
Meeting In January The president of the Canterbury Trades Council (Mr F. L. Langley) said yesterday he thought the national executive of the Federation of Labour would meet representatives of the New Zealand Fire Brigades’ Federation late next month tn discuss the firemen’s dispute. Whether the F.O.L. would enter into negotiations with the employers in the dispute, he said, would depend on the outcome of next month’s meeting.
