New Bridge
A new bridge on the West Coast highway six miles beyond the top of Porter’s Pass was opened to traffic yesterday. The bridge is a one-lane structure, 130 ft long, and crosses the Porter river. Mr W. A. Scott, the resident engineer, said yesterday that the highway had been realigned on each side of the bridge, and the seal was now complete to the Castle Hill straight.
