END OF LONG RUN.—The Auckland runner, M. Telford, arriving at the Wellington Town Hall at the end of his 717-mile run from Cape Reinga. He was 16 days on the road. Telford carried messages for the Mayor of Wellington from the mayors of various North Island cities and towns through which he passed.
