Haast Road Progress
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Nov. 19. Only a quarter of a mile separates earthmoving machinery working on the linkup of the Haast-Paringa highway. The project engineer at Haast (Mr W. A. Walker) said today that traffic might be allowed to use the road in June but the highway would not be completed until 1966.
