HALL FOR COLLEGE
£25,000 Raised More than £25,000 has been raised for the proposed new assembly hall and gymnasium for St Andrew’s College, according to the annual report of the college old boys* association. More than half the amount is held in cash, with the remainder in promises. The appeal is still open and It is hoped that further amenities may yet be included in the hall before it is handed over to the college in 1966. The construction of the mountain lodge in the Craigieburn range was now well advanced, the report said, although much finishing work was required. Specific tasks for completion are being undertaken by both old boys’ and parents’ associations.
Members,of the new executive are:—President, Mr A. W. Mann; immediate past president, Mr E. H. Poole; vice-presidents, Messrs J. G. Gunn and L. N. Hudson; committee, Messrs W. E. Oakley, G. W. Riley, N. D. Thomson, R. D. Minson, A. L. Wilkins, M. J. D. Camm, G. Mars and I. A. Pringle; solicitor, Mr W. G. P. Cunningham; auditor, Mr K. R. Jordan; secretary-treasurer, Mr G. A. M. Hilson.
