MAGISTRATE’S COURT
(Before Messrs J. L. Ives and D. Horne, Justices of the Peace)
Carel Adriaan Van Rees, aged 30, a boilermaker, was remanded on bail to October 22 on a charge of assaulting Maureen Margaret Van Rees. Michael Paul Stone, aged 18, a hairdresser, was remanded in custody until today on a charge of being idle and disorderly in that he had articles of disguise.
A man, whose name was suppressed, was remanded until today on a charge of unlawfully taking a cycle. John Calvert Greer, aged 30, was remanded in custody to October 23 on charges of theft and of making a false statement under the Workers’ Compensation Act Noel Patrick Simpson, aged 20, a workman, was remanded in custody until today on a charge of theft. A man, whose name was suppressed, was remanded on bail to October 22 on a charge of indecent assault on a girt aged five.
