FENCING TITLES
Thirteen New Zealand representatives will compete in the Rothman’s fencing championships to be held at Wellington during Labour weekend.
Auckland. Canterbury and Wellington have entered full teams for the tournament and Otago and Southland will be represented by one fencer. All of the New Zealand titleholders will be defending their titles.
The president of the Amateur Fencing Association (Mr A. H. Fenton) said that the championships will be used as a trial for the New Zealand team which will represent New Zealand against Australia next April.
