the New Zelaand Rugby League selector, Mr E. Butts, has endorsed the scheme and the Canterbury Rugby League has circularised the local clubs concerning the venture. The chairman (Mr D. C. Wilson) and other members of the board of control have approved the scheme. The Canterbury Football Association is also interested in the scheme and will discuss it at its special general meeting.
