Training In Summer
As a means of keeping fit during the summer, the St. Martins Athletic and CrossCountry Club has offered facilities for winter sportsmen to join in the club’s activities. In order to stimulate interest the club has circularised winter sports bodies.
the New Zelaand Rugby League selector, Mr E. Butts, has endorsed the scheme and the Canterbury Rugby League has circularised the local clubs concerning the venture. The chairman (Mr D. C. Wilson) and other members of the board of control have approved the scheme. The Canterbury Football Association is also interested in the scheme and will discuss it at its special general meeting. The first run will be hold tomorrow afternoon from the corner of Wilsons and Centaurus roads.
