HEROIN SEIZED
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEWCASTLE, Oct. 1. Australian customs officers seized heroin worth £400,000 in a raid on the Dutch freighter Straat Cook in Newcastle Harbour today, the Australian Broadcasting Commission reported. The haul is one of the largest ever made in Australia. The heroin, drapped in a cellophane pack, was concealed in the engine room of the freighter.
