RIFLE BELT PRESENTED
Competition. For Cadets The Championship Riffe Belt, associate prize for the Earl Roberts Trophy, was presented to Sergeant M. R. Walker, of the St Andrew’s College Cadet Battalion, yesterday afternoon by the commander of the Southern Military District (Brigadier T. C. Campbell). The trophy is competed for annually by cadet .units throughout the Comonwealth. The championship belt, for the highest shooting score obtained among units in New Zealand, is this year shared by four cadets, two at Nelson College and one at Mana College also scoring 77 points out of a possible 80. At yesterday afternoon’s presentation the college battalion and band paraded before Brigadier Campbell.
