Sumner Beach
Sir,—Mr Kirk, M.P., is accused of reporting on the Sumner pollution a few days before the election, conveniently timed for the Labour candidates. What of the transport finance committee who advocated another rise in bus fares, but now, conveniently for the Citizens’ candidates in election week, the rise will not be necessary for a while as the financial situation is £7OOO better than estimated.—Yours, etc., CHECKMATE. September 30, 1964.
