FIJI DRAWS LAST GAME
Combined Side Loses Hooker (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) ABERTILLERY, Sept. 30. The Fijian Rugby team ended its short tour of Wales when It drew, 11-11, with a combined Abertillery and Newbridge XV at Abertillery yesterday. In the previous tour matches the Fijians were urged on to victory by enthralled Rugby fans, but this time the 17,000 crowd were firmly behind the home side. The combined team scored one goal, one penalty goal and one try to one goal and two tries by the Fijians. The Welshmen had the misfortune to lose their hooker, B. Wilkins, in the first few minutes with a suspected fractured pelvis, but they still kept the tourists at full stretch. Twice the combined team led, tries being scored by R. Howell and J. Worwood. Soqosoqo scored three great tries for Fiji, one of which was converted by Nasova. The Fijians will now go to France for five more matches, including a full international in Paris, on October 17.
