GRENADE IN CABARET
Malaysians Injured (N.Z. P.A. -Reuter —Copyright) KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30. A terrorist tossed a hand grenade into a crowded cabaret in Malacca town last night injuring two Malaysian men. Several British Commonwealth soldiers escaped injury. Police said an examination of the grenade’s pin and pieces of shrapnel indicated it was of the type used by Indonesian saboteurs. Authorities said the grenade was manufactured in China. Malacca town is on the west coast of Malaya, about 70 miles from the point where Indonesian paratroopers made an invasion attempt on September 2. The cabaret is frequented by British, Australian and New Zealand troops stationed at the nearby camp, Terendak. It was not known whether any Australian or New Zealand troops were in the cabaret at the time.
