The official Communist Party newspaper “Trybuna Ludu,” in a leading article, accused the Catholic Church ■ of opposing laws, such as one , which legalises abortion. It also attacked church criticism of civil marriages. The newspaper said the Church was trying to build artificial barriers in Polish society by differentiating between believers and npn-be-iievers.
