Off-course Bets £165,094

(From Our Own Reporter) HUTT PARK RACEWAY, September 2. Off-course investments amounting to £165,094 on the Wellington Trotting Club’s meeting tonight were a record for the club. Tonight’s total was made up of £84,273 10s on the win-and-place and £80,820 10s on the double.

The off-course total for the second night of the corresponding meeting last year, which was also held on a Wednesday, was £149,545 15s. On-course, the totalisator handled £42,630, including £4636 on the double, compared with £69,099 last year. The meeting was held in bitterly cold weather. The track was in good order early but deteriorated for the last two races. The attendance was 4576. Two Wins
