Maori Arts And Crafts
(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, September 1. A former Rotorua deputymayor, Mr P. H. Leonard, has been appointed the first director of the Rotorua Maori Arts and Crafts Institute. Mr A. M. Linton, mayor of Rotorua and chairman of the institute said Mr Leonard’s first task would be to prepare a report to enable the Whaka thermal area to be fully developed along the lines of the Rotorua Maori Arts and Crafts Institute Bill.
