Second Giant Lottery
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 31. Tickets in the second Mammoth Golden Kiwi Lottery, with its £60,000 first prize, will be on sale throughout New Zealand on Thursday. “The opening of this lottery has been altered from a Monday to a Thursday to enable everybody a reasonable chance to buy a ticket,” said the organiser of the lotteries (Mr N. McArthur). “Thousands were unable to obtain a ticket in the No. 1 Mammoth lottery, as Monday did not coincide with their weekly visit to their ■ nearest shopping centre.”
