S.I. Soccer Team Selected
(N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU, August 27. Canterbury, with a lead of three points over South Canterbury A, retained the Ken Johnson memorial shield for the South Island under 12 schoolboys’ soccer tournament at Tlmaru today. The final points were:— Canterbury 12, South Canterbury A 9, Otago 8, Southland 6, Nelson 5, North Otago 2, South Canterbury B 0. The following South Island team was selected:—D. Shephard (Southland), S. Lambert (South Canterbury), P. Finch (Nelson), D. Brandon (Nelson), G. Kelly (Otago), R. Glendining (Otago), A. Wight (Otago), I. Carter (Otago), D. Brooks,. S. Wood, K. Squire, P. Whelan, G. Storer, G. Dacombe (Canterbury).
