Peer’s God-Daughter Hurt, Dog Missing

LONDON, Aug. 5.
Lord Boothby, the 64-year-old television personality, who has been involved in rumours about himself and a 30-year-old London club owner, had other worries yesterday. “My boxer bitch, Gigi Felic-
ity Boothby, is missing,” he said.
“That dog means an awful lot to me. Her loss has pushed this other matter right into the background.” Gigi disappeared from Lord Boothby’s man-servant, Gordon Goodfellow, in Willesden, yesterday morning, after a gate was left open. Another incident caused Lord Boothby to exclaim: “Blow upon blow is falling on my head!” This was an accident involving his two god-daughters. 19-year-old Teresa David and 17-year-old Penelope Hippes-ley-Cox. Penelope’s new mini-car crashed off a road in Devon.
Teresa was last night recovering at Lord Boothby’s flat, her leg heavily bandaged. Lord Boothby said earlier today his lawyers were still considering the libel position over the “peer and the gangster” rumours.
