Bullfrogs
(Special Crspdt. N.ZP.A.)
LONDON, Aug. 5.
Cuba has recently been searching for new exports to reduce her heavy reliance on sugar. One that she has found is bullfrogs, for which a ready market has developed in Communist China, says the “Scotsman.”
The trade began in 1962 when Fidel Castro sent Mao Tse-Tung, as a mark of his personal esteem, a gift of several pairs. They are now proudly reported to be flourishing and breeding in abundance. As a result China has acquired more.
