Cycling Track Dangerous

TOKYO. July 21 The Tokyo Olympic organising i committee yesterday agreed to demands by the Japan Amateur Bicycle Racing Association to correct faults in the track of the Hachioji cycling velodrome.

Young, said at Hachioji yesterday that the sharpness and rougn racing surface of the track could only lead to disaster. Mr Young, managing a four-man Australian Olympic cycling team now in Japan on a goodwill tour, said that m his opinion Olympic track racing should be held on the professional track at nearby Tachikawa. The £130.000 velodrome was completed only on July 13 after four months, round-the-clock construction work.
