ROADWAYS IN LAOS
Communists Improve (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) WASHINGTON, June 26. Recent American reconnaissance.missions have confirmed reports that Communist forces have been improving their road net-work in Southern Laos and have stepped up the pace of supply convoys, the “New York Times” news service reports. Officials in Washington report that the Communists now have stretched their road net-work south from Techepone, previously the terminal point for truck traffic on the Ho Chi Minh route. Other links on the net-work reportedly have been Improved. Intelligence estimates indicate that roughly 3000 North Vietnamese troops are on duty in South-eastern Laos near the South Vietnamese border.
