Obituary
MR F. G. A. ADAMS Mr Frederick 'George Arthur Adams who died this week at Lyttelton in his 89th year was born and educated in the port.
.Most of Mr Adams’s working life was spent with the Lyttelton Harbour Board. He retired from the board in 1939 when he was senior boatman. His main interests were Rugby, rifle shooting and bowls. He was a life member of the Heathcote Bowling Club and a member of the Lyttelton Bowling Club. In addition, he was a member of the Druids’ Lodge and was once a member of the Lyttelton Volunteer Fire Brigade. Mr Adams, who had 15 children, is survived by five daughters and five sons.
