SUMMER REGENT TOPWEIGHT

Summer Regent, which has been campaigning with mixed success in Queensland, has been given top weight of 9st, along with his New Zealand relative, Summer .Fair, for the 13-furlong Doomben Cup to be run on July 11. Fair Patton, which won the Brisbane Cup on Monday, has been given Bst 71b inthe handicaps announced day.The Doomben Cup is the second leg of the Doomben double, the first being, the Doomben Ten Thousand, runover seven furlongs (less 68 yards) on July 4. Top weight in the Ten Thousand has been given to Rashlore, which started favourite in the Stradbroke Handicap last Saturday. Rashlore has been given Bst 101 b, with the winner of the Stradbroke, Cele's Image, one pound better off.
