DATES FOR HEARING
Proud Boy, Tundra (N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, June 18. . The official inquiries into the positive urine swabs taken from Tundra and Proud Boy at recent Southland meetings will be held before the Southland district committee in Invercargill on July 1 and 2. This was announced this morning by the assistant secretary to the committee, Mr R. J. Cuthill. A positive urine swab was taken from Proud Boy after winning the Trial Stakes at Invercargill on April 18. The case will, be heard on Wednesday, July 1. After winning the Otautau Hack Handicap at the Birchwood meeting at Invercargill on March 21; a positive urine swab was also taken from Tundra.. The hearing will be the last to be heard. Since winning at Birchwood Tundra has won twice and been second on two occasions from five starts. The chairman of the committee, Mr W. A. H. Thompson, and another member, Mr J. A. Mcßae, will not take part in the Tundra hearing. E. A. Winsloe, the trainer of Tundra, also trains horses for both men. They will not be replaced on the committee for the hearing.
