No Objection To Licences

(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, May 28. The chief fire officer at Rotorua, Mr R. D. Stone, and the Rotorua city building inspector, Mr D. G. McArtney, have written to the Licensing Control Commission advising they have no objection to hotel premises licences being granted to each of the five hotels in Rotorua. Messrs Stone and McArtney said that after points placed before the commission during its sitting in Rotorua last week, they had met representatives of the owners of the Brents, Geyser, Grand, Lake and Palace hotels.

The subjects referred to in reports to the commission had been discussed. Most requirements had been met and others were in hand, they said.
