Funny Story Wins Narrowly At Otaki
WELLINGTON, May 10. Funny Story won the Ta Timi Kara Handicap, the first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Otaki-Maori Racing Club’s winter meeting on Saturday. She prevailed in a close finish with Commodore Roberts and Cantus.
The second leg, the Taipua Handicap, was won easily by the favourite and off-course substitute, Star of Kildare. The weather was fine, the track was fast, and there was a large attendance. Results.—
